As the Community Manager for Proximity, you are responsible for growing a community of passionate users from the ground up. What is a Community Manager
As the Community Manager for Proximity, you are responsible for growing a community of passionate users from the ground up. What responsibilities are included?
- Responding to questions and addressing concerns on a personal level both 1-to-1 and one-to- many, while being able to scale for high volume of contacts.
- Build actionable reports using metrics and data appropriate to our goals that weigh the value of our efforts.
- Participate in ideation, planning, implementation, and execution of creative programs and activities to engage users and build product and brand loyalty.
- Execution and analysis of campaigns and promotions to grow, engage, and retain our user base.
- Soliciting and interpreting user feedback and translating that into actionable product/feature recommendations.
- Cultivate internal teams for support and promote internal champions, leaders, and other team mates.
- Ownership of all public points of contact (profiles, personals, fan pages, blogs, forums). This may include building these from scratch.
- Coordinating and mobilizing evangelists to drive new and sustained activity with the product.
- Love helping people and find it rewarding to assist others in finding solutions.
- High degree of intellectual curiosity. You should have a demonstrated ability to learn fast and complete simultaneous priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt tone and writing style to fit the circumstances and situation (feel free to submit links to work).
- Event planning. Conceptualize, negotiate, wrangle, plan and execute cool, fun and buzz-worthy events/parties.
- Strong analytical skills and a proven ability to understand users. You should be able to spot patterns and derive meaningful user insights from both quantitative and qualitative data.
- Someone who can work both independently and as a strong contributor to a team.
- Creativity to devise campaigns for strengthening community among all users.
- Comfortable being measured on numerical goals and targets.
- BA/BS degree.
- 2 years experience in community work for a consumer facing application or website.
- Marketing background.
- Deep understanding of social network structures.

- Use research, both primary and secondary, to deliver true consumer insight
- Act as a bridge between smart strategic thinking and great creative solutions
- Define problems, collect information, establish facts and draw valid conclusions to drive insights
- Keep abreast of developments within the client's industry and pass on this knowledge to the rest of the team
- Be enthusiastic and passionate about producing great work

Qualifications
- 2 years' interactive planning experience, or other relevant experience and a strong point of view that proves you have thought about what a digital planner is
- 5 years in advertising planning, brand strategy, consumer insights, or other fields that you can demonstrate pertain to digital account planning
- A deep understanding and passion for digital marketing
- Comfortable working in highly flexible, entrepreneurial environments
- Demonstrable strategic marketing skills
- Proven success working in cross functional teams
- Innate curiosity and ability to connect insights and gain inspiration from disparate sources
- Confident and clear communicator
